Terms and Conditions

Vacations with a Purpose is a Limited Liability Corporation that specializes in providing meaningful opportunities for service with Africa Jam as well as create opportunities to explore and experience South Africa. We are not a travel agencies, we work with various travel agencies to find competive airline prices and take advantage of group travel offers.  We work directly with hotels, camps and B&B's to create an experience that best suits your travel needs.

Itinerary for January 2010 (subject to change)

Depart MSP December 30 2009, Arrive Cape Town December 31, 2009

• 4 nights in Cape Town.  Lodging provided by YW. Breakfast will be provided, bathrooms are shared.
• 4 nights at Africa Jam Camp, serving the needs of the camp along side local youth leaders. Rocklands campsite is hosting Africa Jam Camp. Three meals a day are provided. The Vacations with a Purpose section of camp is separated from the camp.
• 4 nights in Franschoek.  We will stay with Franschoek Country Villa. 
• Airport transfers provided
• Camp transfers provided
• Franschoek transfer provided

Conditions of travel  

Vacations with a Purpose LLC is not responsible for refunding or rescheduling any part of your trip, unless otherwise stipulated in the deposit and payment schedule below. 

Deposits, payments and cancellations

Estimated cost of trip* $3,750

Payment schedule

April 1, $1000 deposit

August 15, $2000 payment

December 1, final payment

April 1 Deposit of $1,000.  50% refundable before August 15.   

Airline ticket cancellations after August 15 are not refundable, but flight credits may be available towards future flights on NWA.

Reservations on all other travel cancelled between 30 and 7 days prior to departure carries a 50% cancellation fee

Reservations cancelled in less 7 days prior to departure carry and 100% cancellations fee

All conditions apply irrespective of whether deposit is paid or credit card details are provided

*Vacations with a Purpose will continue to search for cheaper airline tickets.  We have an agreement with Northwest airlines, if rates drop before Sept 1, you will receive the difference as a refund towards your trip.

Vacations with a Purpose LLC, Africa Jam and the members are not responsible for injuries, accidents or even death while traveling. Vacations with a Purpose  LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen property. You are responsible for your own travel and/or medical insurance.   All deposits and payments are final.  Late payments can forfeit your spot or carry late fee's.
